Ragi methi puri:

Ragi is a nutritious and healthy for kids food grain. We call it Nachni in marathi and konkani language. It contains lot of calcium which is required in building strong bones and teeth. Methi vegetable is also very nutritious vegetable but a slightly bitter in taste which small childrens make fuss off to eat it. So inorder to give ur kids a healthy tiffin box or a heavy breakfast for your family along with ur kid i have innovated this new receipe.

Ingredients:
Methi leaves-1/2 cup
Tamarind paste-1 tsp
Chopped onions-1 small sized
Chopped tomatoes-1/2 small sized
Knorr pau bhaji masala-1 tsp
Salt and sugar as per taste
Ragi flour-1 cup
Wheat flour-1 cup
Oil and water as required

Method:

Its very simple to make. First pluck off methi leaves, discard off the stems, wash and chop fine. Apply tamarind paste and keep for 10 mins. Meanwhile in a pan add oil, chopped onions, saute for a few mins till soft. Add chopped tomatoes and saute till soft. Add knorr pau bhaji masala, salt , sugar. Saute and add tamarind marinated methi leaves. Saute and remove. Cool. Add required Ragi flour and wheat flour and add water and make a dough and keep in refrigerator. When reqd, roll out into puri and deep fry. These puris  dont puff up much in oil, a slight puff and done.

Serve with tomatoe ketchup.
