Sprouted moong salad:


Moong or green grams are very nutritious protein diet and consuming it raw in the form of their sprouted version gives lots of health benefits becoming one of the best goan cuisines veg salads.

Ingredients:
1 bowl sprouted moong
Chopped onions -2
Chopped tomatoes-2
Chopped green chillies-2
Lemon-1
Salt for taste.

Method
Here I will explain to you how to remove as long sprouts for your moong- green gram.
First in morning take a bowl full of moong and soak it in water for full day. At night drain all water and tie it in a muslin cloth and hang over night or keep it drained on a muslin cloth on a sieve overnight. Close the whole with a cloth. Next morning ul see beautiful sprouts coming out of your moong. U can repeat the procedure for next day again and you will be surprised with more longer sprouts the third day.

Now cook the sprouted moong in little water for 5 mins. Drain. Don't discard this water, it can be added to your Dal's or any veg curries as the water is very nutritious.

Keep the drained moong in the salad bowl, add to it chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies, salt for taste and juice of 1 lemon. Mix and its ready. Serve with rice immediately.
