Egg parata

Egg parata:

Eggs are favourite in children as well as adults. You take the name of an omlette and no one will ever say no to you. Paratas are also best loved by most of the kids and adults too. So why not combine parata and egg together?? This thought came in my mind and thus ended up in making this egg to combine egg omlette with a parata for my child's tiffin box and you know he loved it in tonnes. What a mother wants when her child's tiffin returns empty?? All her hard work turns into a big satisfaction and also she is motivated to try new recipes for her kid.

This recipe is very easy and quick to make and am sure you will definitely love it.

Let's go through the preparation.

Ingredients:
Egg-1
Chopped onions-1/2
Chopped tomatoes-1/2
Coriander leaves-2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Wheat flour-1 small cup
Pure ghee- 2-3 tsp
Water as required.

Method:
Prepare a dough of wheat flour , salt, half coriander leaves and required water. Rest the dough aside covered for 30 mins.

Prepare a mixture of egg, onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves, salt. Note that I didn't add green chillies as its for my child's tiffin. If you are preparing this for adults you can add 2-4 green chillies.

Now heat your tawa. Take the kneaded dough, make a ball and roll out into round chapati. Now cut your chapati in long strips. Roll one strip, then continue with next one and on till all strips are covered and you get a stripped ball. Now flatten this ball and again roll out into round chapati. You will see the layers in your parata.

On hot tawa, add pure ghee drops, place your rolled parata. Add ghee and flip over. Let it cook on both sides. Now add egg mixture on top of it and spread evenly. With help of spoon and turner carefully turn the parata on other side. Let the other side where an omelette gets prepared cook properly and then again turn. Let both sides of parata cook properly. Add ghee in between.

Once done, remove your egg parata, cut into 2 pieces, fold into a triangle and serve hot with tomato sauce or without sauce, as you wish.

Pack in your child's tiffin box folded.
