Sheviyacho tikkat- god sano
Sheviyacho tikkat-god sano:

Sheviyo or vermicelli prepared in sweet form are widely consumed all over India for their breakfast, however in Goa we also prepare a combination of sugar and green chilliies to turn into a sweet and pungent vermicelli loved by all goans.
It's a very quick and easy recipe which sometimes saves time in those morning rushy hours and also when any guests arrives surprisingly.
Let's look at the preparation.
Ingredients:
Sheviya or vermicelli-1 cup
Pure ghee-2 -3 tsp
Green chillies-2
Salt as per taste
Scraped coconut-1 cup
Sugar-1/2 cup
Water- 3-4 cups
Method:
Boil water vigoursly. Add a pinch of salt and 2 drops of pure ghee in it and mix. Now add sheviya or vermicelli and mix. Let the vermicelli cook. Check in between and then off the gas. Tie the vessel with a muslin cloth and put a knot. Then drain off the water and let the vessel remain rested on another container in a drained position for 5 mins till all water is drained completely.
Meanwhile prepare a mixture of scraped coconut, salt, sugar, green chillies and ghee.
Once water is drained completely and to your notice not a single drop of water comes out, make the vessel straight to original normal position and remove the knot and remove out the muslin cloth. If any cooked sheviya gets sticked to cloth, no problem, just remove them with a spoon.
Last step is to add the prepared mixture of coconut etc in this cooked sheviya and try mixing everything slowly. Since you added sugar at this time in your hot sheviya, sugar will start melting immediately and your dish would turn watery. But no need to worry. Keep the dish standby for 30 mins and to your surprise your dish would absorb all water and will turn into a solid and fluffy sweet- pungent vermicelli-tikkat god sheviyacho sano.
Serve this sano with hot tea in morning or evening as you wish.
