Methi- wadi

Methi-wadi ( fenugreek leaves wadis):



Methileaves are healthy vegetable since they are a rich source of iron and fibre apart from many other minerals. Due to its bitter taste, its a diabetic friendly vegetable. However its bitter taste makes most of the individuals say no to this vegetable and thus avoid to eat it. However here I have prepared wadi out of this methi leaves which is not only tasty but also has nill amount of bitterness in the final product which can make your taste buds not to stop on eating just one!!

So let's look at the recipe:

Ingredients:
Methi leaves-1 cup
Besan-1 cup
Rice flour-1/2 cup
Red chilli powder-2 tsp
Green chillies-2
Haldi powder-1 tsp
Garam masala-1 tsp
Lemon-1
Onion-1
Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Sugar-1 tsp
Oil as required
Water as required

Method:
In a bowl mix methi leaves, besan, rice flour, haldi, red chilli powder, salt, chopped green chillies, garam masala, lemon juice, chopped onion, ginger garlic paste, sugar. Mix together everything properly and sprinkle little water on top to make into a thick batter.


Pour this batter on a oil greased plate and spread nicely evenly. Then keep this plate in a steamer and steam for 15-20 mins.


Cool and cut into desired square shapes.



Shallow fry these cut wadi's on tawa with required oil.


Serve with tomato sauce.
