Aloo mutter- potato green peas gravy vegetable:



Aloo mutter is an unique combination of potatoes and fresh green peas and is one of the authentic dish of North India. This is one of most popular dishes served all over India in almost all famous restaurants. Here I have done some twist and turns by following many you tube videos of aloo mutter and finally came up with a different yet delicious mouth watering recipe. Just try out my twisted recipe and see friends , you never end up having just one plate.

Ingredients:
Fresh green peas-1 cup
Potatoes-4-5
Ginger-1 inch piece
Garlic pods-6-7
Tomatoes-2
Salt to taste
Sugar-1 tsp
Red chillies-4-5
Oil-2 tsp
Pure ghee-2 tsp
Cloves-4
Cinnamon-1
Ginger- garlic paste-1 tsp
Water as required

Method:

Boil potatoes and cut some into very fine pieces and some just smash with your hands.
Grind together chopped tomatoes, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, garlic, red chillies to form a paste.
In a cooking vessel add oil, chopped onions. Saute for a while. Add ginger garlic paste. Saute. Add grinded paste. Saute till the paste is cooked properly and color darkens. Then add boiled potatoes, fresh green peas, salt, sugar and required water and mix well. Give a boil and pour pure ghee drops on top.

Cover and rest for 30 mins for flavors to get mixed properly.
Serve with chapaties or pau or parata.
