Homemade pizza
Homemade pizza:
Pizza!! And whose mouth waters? Yes, our children's!! But is it good for children's? Its a big question for me because I literally avoid my child to eat outside pizza. We as a family had once gone to a pizza outlet and my niece was just 4 yr old and had eaten a beautifully cheesy yummy tempting pizza and it just led her gut into trouble the very next day. From that day onwards, there was a no pizza in our house.
Once I tried making a pizza at home using dosa batter as base and processed cheese and it really turned out yummy and my child loved it a lot. Today am going to share with you its recipe. This is quite healthy pizza as compared to outside restaurant pizza. You can make your base by using wheat flour too. You can add whatever vegetables your children eat and make their favourite pizza to relish as a evening snack or in their tiffin boxes. I gave my child this homemade pizza in his tiffin box and he had to take shoutings from his teacher as pizza is not allowed in their schools, then after well explaining the teacher that its homemade, he was rescued. But still the teacher doubts😁😁!!
Well, let's look at the recipe.
Ingredients:
Dosa batter-2 cups
Chopped veggies of your choice like onion, tomato, mushrooms, capsicums, coriander leaves etc-1 cup
Salt as per taste
Tomato sauce-2-4 spoons per pizza
Processed cheese cubes-1/2 cube per pizza
Oil as required
Method:
Chop all vegetables of your choice and mix and keep in a bowl.
Heat your tawa. Add 2 tsp of oil and spread.
Put a laddle full of dosa batter and spread to round, it should be thick, do not spread until too thin.
Spread all vegetables all around and press with your fingers into the batter.
Cover and cook.
Flip over and cook again on other sides.
When both sides are nicely cooked, put plain part below and veggies part above. Apply tomato sauce all over. Grate cheese all over till your pizza is fully coveted with cheese.
Again cover and cook on low flame till cheese melts. Don't flip over now.
Your pizza is ready!!
Remove and cut your pizza into triangles to look beautiful and tempting and serve hot!!
